Here I will try to keep you informed of all the latest news and information regarding the European Formula 1 Grand Prix in Valencia....

Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe tickets are on sale. The event will celebrate its second edition at the Valencia Street Circuit on August 23rd. Ticket prices for the three-day event are exactly the same as last year and they range from 480 euros the most expensive ticket to 195 euros the cheapest.

Valmor Sports vicepresident, Jorge Martínez Aspar, has said in a meeting with media that "our aim is to offer the major comforts to the fans". "Last year in the first edition we worked so hard in sportive and safety areas, now is the time for fans comforts".

This is going to be the first time that all tickets are not going to be seated because Valencia Street Circuit is going to have a General Admission Area with direct view of the track and F1 shopping, food and beverage services. This General Access will be sold on a daily basis with the price being 30 euros for Friday, 50 euros on Saturday to watch the qualifying sessions and the first of the support races and 100 euros for the Grand Prix on Sunday.

The general Public will have the chance to enter Valencia Street Circuit, once track activity has finished.The main straight and the dock will be exhibited during the Grand Prix
Valencia (June 20th 2009).- Valencia Street Circuit will open its gates to citizens and toursists of Valencia each evening during the second Formula 1 Telefonica Grand Prix of Europe. For the first time anyone who wants to, will have the chance to walk along the main straight at the circuit, have their photograph taken under the starting lights, share the dock space with the distinguished guests and event customers and support the drivers.

This is an initiative by Valmor Sports, who aim to involve the citizens of Valencia and maximise participation by Valencians in the Grand Prix held in their city. Furthermore, the affluence of tourists in the city during the third week of August will have an unbeatable opportunity with the possibility of taking an evening stroll around the Formula 1 circuit where drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button or Kimi Raikkonen have just be driving.

Any fans who want to, will only have to pick up a ticket at the Beach Park, the leisure area located next to the public access area of la Malvarrosa during the week of the Grand Prix. With their ticket, which will be completely free of charge, citizens and visitors will be able to enter the Valencia Street Circuit compound, once the track activity has finished after the inspections on Thursday, the practice sessions on Friday and qualification on Saturday, on Sunday when the races are finished circuit will be opened to traffic.

ok so you are all probably wondering whats going on with the Formula 1 grand prix in Valencia.. Schummacher is coming, oh no he´s not!! Alonso is banned, oh no hes not!
Well, its true, Michael Schummacher has backed out due to a neck injury from his motorbike racing!
He did however help boost the sales of tickets for the European Grand Prix which had been very slow up until his announcement of making a come back.
The decision on Alonso will be made just a few days before the race, where the case against Team Renault will be heard by the powers that be in the FIA.
You could think that whole Schummacher saga was conveniently "rigged" in order to help the Valencia Street Circuit raise its sales while awaiting the destiny of the Spanish hero Fernando. But that would be too corrupt for Spain and formula 1
At the end of the day, on race day - 23rd August, we all know the atmosphere will electric, one thing that Valencia know how to do, is throw a party and that is what it will be! I personally can´t wait, as I have access to a roof terrace! nah nah nah!
Accommodation is filling up slowly but surely, although you can still find apartments available, even with views to the track!

Alonso is coming!! Golden Boy Fernando Alonso will be racing in the European Formula 1 Grand Prix in Valencia on Sunday the 23rd of August. This is great news for the F1 race and is helping the sale of tickets. Latest figures show that over 50,000 tickets have now been sold for the F1 GP in Valencia.
The atmosphere is building with the circuit all in place and the teams in their bases. The Beach Park is in full motion on the Malvarrosa Beach next to the Las Arenas hotel and the Motorbox experience is ready to roll into action.
