I am Lutz, organizer of eclectic concerts at top venues in the Marina Alta region. I have been introduced to this comunity by Michael Walch, who is the founder of "Friends of palmaconcert" and a great supporter of our enterprise.

Music for you…underneath the arches

New series of palmaconcerts at Bar/Restaurant “Los Arcos” in Torrevieja


The Bar/Restaurant “Los Arcos” with its Andalusian Patio is a wonderful venue in Torrevieja. It is the latest setting for palmaconcerts series of stunning musical events. Enjoying great success with their concerts in the Marina Alta region for the past three years, at the Marriott (Dénia), Villa Gadea (Altea), Diamante Beach (Calpe) and also at the Bar “La Risa” and the “Careline Theatre” in the Jalon Valley, palmaconcerts are now very happy to add Torrevieja to their list of venues. This will be good news for the many music lovers who no longer need to make the journey north.

Opening on Sunday, 5th April at 20.00h with “A Tribute to Pavarotti – Happy Memories”, starring José Antonio Navarro, Tenor who will sing the great tenor hits made popular by Pavarotti. Co-Starring is Asturian Diva Salome Rodriguez, Soprano, who will perform duets with tenor Navarro and contribute romantic Italian arias, both accompanied by Maestra Ana Fabra on the piano. “La traviata”, La bohème”, “Tosca” and of course the momentous “Nessun dorma…” will bring the boxes of tissues out while charming owners of “Los Arcos”, Angelique and her Chef husband are delighted to serve concert related theme tapas and fine wines at reasonable prices.

This will be a very special evening to sit back in this beautifully candlelit concert salon enjoying your drinks & tapas and listen to the most fabulous music, the most romantic love themes ever written. Señor Navarro and Salome Rodriguez never leave the stage without standing ovation and shouts for “more”!

For a taste of concerts to come, there will be a French Night on Sunday, 3rd May: “An evening in Paris” with award winning chanson singer Dirk Schafer and accordionist Karsten Schnack, presenting their hugely successful interpretation of unforgettable songs by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. Can Can dancers will round the Parisian Night off.

On Sunday, 31st May the “Los Arcos” goes South American. “Tango Argentino” with artistes from Argentina, as seen recently in the packed Careline theatre in Alcalalì, presented with historic Bandoneòn (Martìn Albano) and piano (Cecilia Barber) and the sensual dance movements of Veronica and Guillermo, tango dancers from Buenos Aires. The monthly concerts will be held on the last Thursday of the month during the summer and we will keep you informed.
