    Default Driving health certificate

I was stopped by the traffico the other day at a random checkpoint apart from my licence and ID they asked for my health certificate, which i did not have, after a chat with his buddy he waved me on, anyone else been asked?
apparently you must have one, renewed every 5 years if you are over 40, 10 years under 40.

does that apply to all even if you have a uk driving license and you move to spain? because we are looking at moving over soon, we havent looked at laws for driving etc in spain. does anyone know any good websites where you can see the different laws in spain that are different to the uk so we dont end up in an accidental trouble with the law?

It applies to anyone living in Spain who is resident.

johnnie1uk, did you hand over a Spanish or Uk License? If you handed over a UK one and it could be proved you were resident here, you would need a medical certificate, which may be asked for.

When you change a UK license for a Spanish one, you should not be asked to take a medical assesment (at least I didn't in Cartagena, Murcia, but I know loads of people who did in Orihuela) but I will have to when I want to renew it. The process is fairly simple.
